Eye Treatment and Surgery for Patients (Cataract/Glaucoma) at a Minimum Fee
There is an Eye Care Center in Paranaque City that offers ophthalmic diagnosis and surgery at a minimum fee. It is located in Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Paranaque City.My father-in-law had his cataract operation in their eye care center in Our Lady of Peace Hospital. Since he is a Philhealth dependent of my husband, he only had to pay Php 3,000 for the cataract operation of one eye. My aunt also underwent cataract operation, unfortunately she did not have any Philhealth insurance so she was charged Php 8,000 for the operation of one eye. You only have to pay additional minor expenses like the glasses that you have to wear after the operation and the medicines prescribed by the doctor.
You only have to be early in the clinic since a lot of patients visit the eye care center and they only limit the number of patients who wish to have an eye examination. You do not have to be an indigent in order to avail of their services. Everyone is welcome to have their eye examined by their doctors. I am not sure though if they charge a minimum fee for the consultation but you can ask or call them.The doctors and medical staff who work at this eye care center are very kind and patient.
